SUPER FUNDS TO BE SEIZED IF INACTIVE
The government have announced that they will collect all inactive superannuation accounts and lost accounts under $200 IF YOU DON’T CLAIM IT and transfer that money to Government revenue.
It is estimated that almost $1 Billion will be transferred in 2010 to consolidated revenue if you don’t claim your money and consolidate it into an active account in your name.
Find My Super is Australia’s only search and consolidation facility that will locate all your active accounts that match your tax file number and consolidate that money into the fund of your choice.
Super funds have search facilities that only search for lost accounts. We find all active accounts as well as lost accounts.
How much does it cost?
There are over 30 million super accounts in Australia for only 9 million workers. That means that on average Australians have 3.5 super accounts in their name of which they pay a fee of $1.50 per week. That means that Australian super members are paying $273.00 per year in duplicate fees.
Find my super will consolidate for a once only fee of $98.00 that will save you each year in ongoing fees.
It makes good Super Sense..
